PROJECT “DEVELOPING ELECTION TRAINING CAPACITY AND ENHANCING VOTER AWARENESS”, IMPLEMENTED WITH SUPPORT OF THE OSCE PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR IN UKRAINE
Voters’ awareness was raised about their voter rights, election procedures,  mechanisms to exercise and protect voter rights, as well as mechanisms and opportunities for voters to participate in the electoral process, including in the capacity of an election commissioner and observer during the election campaign, and inform them about the opportunity to receive knowledge and skills through web-site “Elections in Ukraine”, the Online Training System for Election Commissioners and other resources.

Training sessions for short-term observers were held by CVU on the eve of early presidential elections of October 26, 2014 throughout Ukraine. The observers raised there awareness on how to observe elections according to international and European standards and how to develop election reports based on observation results.

PROJECT “EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS FOR OCTOBER 26, 2014 EARLY PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN UKRAINE”, IMPLEMENTED WITH SUPPORT OF THEBRITISH EMBASSY
CVU held 7 educational webinars for voters, activists and election commission members on the following topics: protection of voters’ rights; temporary change of voting place without change of voting address; update of voters’ list; voting for forcibly displaced citizens; prevention of vote-buying; informed choice; for members of election commissions. Informational-educational leaflets were also disseminated.

PROJECT “ELECTION DISPUTES PROCEDURES IMPROVEMENT AND AWARENESS RISING IN UKRAINE”, IMPLEMENTED WITH SUPPORT OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
Two awareness-rising webinars were held – to raise awareness of civic observers on international and European standards of observation and reporting on election disputes resolution, as well as existing procedures and also to raise awareness of voters and candidates of existing election disputes regulations; example of election appeal form was developed and disseminated; monitoring of election disputes resolution held;  two reports developed with recommendations on improvement of election disputes procedures.

PROJECT “FOR FAIR ELECTIONS!” JOINT INTERNATIONAL MEDIA CENTRE”, IMPLEMENTED WITH SUPPORT OF THEEUROPEAN COMMISSION, CO-ORDINATING PARTNER – EUROPEAN EXCHANGE
In framework of the project CVU organized activities of an international media center “For fair elections!” in Kyiv city, as well as 12 press centers in oblasts of Ukraine during early presidential elections (May 25, 2014) and early parliamentary elections in Ukraine (October 26, 2014). Activities of the press centers and the international media centers promoted dissemination of unbiased and verifiable information about presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine and abroad.

The monitoring covers all types of elections – presidential, parliamentary, local elections and referenda. The monitoring includes both long-term observation at all stages of the election process and E-Day monitoring over voting, vote tabulation and establishment of election results.
